Wow what a crazy morning.
I opened the door to let Demon out and the noise I heard was not pretty.
He was on his leash thankfully and Honey had not made it out the door yet.
There was this loud screeching going on and then he picked something up and shook it and dropped it.
I thought maybe it was a possum then maybe a cat but on closer look it was a baby fox.
It was making all kinds of racket.
Demon didn't know what to do!
I was screaming for help since I had to hold Honey back and somehow get Demon in.
Pauly came to the rescue.
He helped to hold Honey and pull Demon in the door.
We got him in just in the nick of time because running up my sidewalk was Mama Fox and she was none to happy!
She grabbed her baby and ran down the sidewalk and dropped him and then came charging back at my front door where we were all watching her.
She would have torn poor Demon apart if he was outside.
Why she put her babes under the chair on my front porch while she moved them is beyond me. The porch light was on too...she must have thought they would be safe there but she must have smelled the dogs that live here.
Thankfully Demon only kills snakes and thinks all other animals are his pets to play with.
Honey would have killed it in a second if she had made it out the door.
Wish I had my camera to take a picture of Mama Fox with her baby in her mouth.
Not something you see close up every day.
So now that my poor foot with my broken toe has been trampled by Siberian Husky's I am going to be iceing it all day again today.
So much for getting down the steps to do some sewing!
I have a cute baby quilt in the making sitting down there calling my name
I can hear it calling me to sew lol.
Oh well there is always tomorrow.
